Hungary will introduce new travel restrictions for travelers from the Netherlands as of September 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will let you know. The Ministry will therefore issue an orange travel advice for the Eastern European country as of Tuesday.
The new travel advice applies to the whole country, as only residents of Hungary are still allowed to enter the country. They must be quarantined for fourteen days after arrival. In order to be allowed out of quarantine earlier, they must be able to submit two negative tests within five days.
Home quarantine
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Dutch nationals coming from Hungary do not have to be quarantined at home, because there is no increased risk of contracting a coronary infection in the Eastern European country.
